ALSO ALSO, this sentiment is correct, kinda, but really it should be: “A better trainer can win with weaker Pokemon.” You can get a strong flying type pretty early in the game if you invest in a Zubat. Crobat is stronger than Pidgeot and if you dedicate a Zubat to your team you can get it in the early twenties. Golbat is also pretty decent.  You get Exeggcute far too late in the game for most people to bother with him but for anyone determined enough to work with him he and his evolution can hold his own.  Dunsparce stats aren’t great but he can learn quite a few strong TMs. He makes a wonderful surplus/buffer Pokemon when you don’t know what your enemy is using or when you need to switch out without sacrificing your main Pokemon’s health.  Wow I didn’t even realize Crobat evolved from Golbat I thought it was like a  sideways evolution thing. Wow Crobat is really good. Wow! It would’ve made better sense to give Zubat two different evolution paths. I mean, really, how does it go from this: to this: to this: Like, nothing about Crobat suggest it stems from Golbat. They should have just made it a separate evolution for Zubat and pumped up Golbat’s attack so it wouldn’t be redundant.
